Dacula woman charged in husband's killing

DACULA, Ga. (AP) -- A Gwinnett County woman has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of her husband.

Laurie Louise Alexander called police to her home on the morning of December 8th, saying her husband, 44-year-old Ronald Kent Alexander, was dead.

But authorities became suspicious and later arrested Laurie Alexander on charges of felony murder and possession of a weapon during a crime. She is being held without bond at the Gwinnett County Jail.

Police say a medical examiner determined that the woman's husband died of a stab wound.

Gwinnett County police spokeswoman Illana Spellman says she could not give details about the investigators' findings or what led them to Laurie Alexander.
