Cook received a huge game from Tailback Thad Williams, who ran all over the Spartans for 236 rushing yards and also intercepted a pass to help seal the win.
Greater Atlanta opened the scoring in the first quarter with an 11-yard run from Matt Cape.
In the second quarter, however, Cook County took control scoring 16 unanswered points, including a 26-yard run from Williams. GAC cut the lead to 16-13 just before halftime on a 26-yard touchdown pass from Colton Chapple to Julian Horton.
In the second half the Spartans had no answer for Williams as he dominated the third quarter with a touchdown run of 75 yards and a 33-yard catch from Tim Rowe.
GAC had a chance to get back in the game late with a blocked punt recovered in the end zone from Christian Robinson who also had 8 catches for 181 yards. The Spartans, however, could get no closer.
Cook will play another Region 6-AA team in Lovett next Saturday in the semifinals.
