Peachtree Doors to close; 200 to lose jobs

GAINESVILLE - Peachtree Doors is closing its Gainesville plant - meaning about 200 people will be left without a job.

The plant, located on Ramsey Road, will shut its doors for the final time in February.

The company issued a statement Thursday saying it is moving all production at the Gainesville plant to a plant in Wisconsin.

The move is being made, according to the statement, to reduce the cost of production.
