Sluggish No. 8 Georgia rallies to beat Oakland 69-59

ATHENS, Ga. - Tasha Humphrey scored all 19 of her points in the second half to lead No. 8 Georgia to a 69-59 come-from-behind win over Oakland.

Humphrey, who had 11 rebounds, was one of three Georgia players with a double-double. Angel Robinson had 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Megan Darrah had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs (7-0).

Jessica Pike led Oakland (3-2) with 23 points.

After being outrebounded in the first half, Georgia outrebounded the Golden Grizzlies 30-13 in the second half to overtake the Golden Grizzlies.

The teams were tied at 55 with 4:40 to play 55 after Melissa Jeltema converted a three-point play for Oakland. Humphrey answered with a hook.

Following a turnover, Darrah hit a 3-pointer to put Georgia up 62-57 with 3:55 to go. The final margin was Georgia's biggest lead of the game.

Pike scored the first six points of the game in the first two minutes while Georgia missed its first six shots. The Golden Grizzlies had a double-digit lead six minutes into the game when Pike's two free throws made it 17-7.

Robinson's 3-point play and Humphrey's 3-point basket gave Georgia its first lead, 33-32, 90 seconds into the second half.

Humphrey moved up to No. 7 on the career scoring list with 1,834 points, one more than Wanda Holloway.
