Aquino named Hall Teacher of the Year

GAINESVILLE - Dr. Joel S. Aquino, a science teacher at West Hall High School, has been selected as the 2009 Hall County Teacher of the Year from among the 2009 Teachers of the Year from the thirty-three (33) schools within the Hall County School System.

Aquino, who has been teaching in the system since 2006, teaches Honors Physics and Environmental Science at the school. In addition, he was recently invited by the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce to present at the recent Water Summit, a joint venture between the Hall County and Gainesville City School Systems to bring greater public awareness on ways to conserve water during the current water crisis.
