GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Elections and Voter Registration office is on the move.

It's moving to a spot in the old Wal Mart shopping center on Browns Bridge Road. As AccessNorthGa.com first reported more than a month ago, the move takes place this weekend.

Interim Director of Elections Charlotte Sosebee-Hunter said the office will relocate to 2285 Browns Bridge Road, Suite 2, the shopping center at the Skelton Road interseciton, where Wal-Mart was once located. The new office will give workers 8,300 square feet of workspace, an increase of almost 4,500 square feet over what they have now. The officers are now located in a former bank building on the corner of Lakeshore Mall at Dawsonville Highway and Pearl Nix Parkway.

Sosebee-Hunter said that voters will also have much more parking space and easier access to the office in the new location.

The office will open in the new location Monday.
