Late run carries Tigers past Emmanuel

SAVANNAH - Lazarius Coleman's layup with 8:31 left broke a 58-58 tie and ignited a 20-10 Savannah State run that carried the Tigers to a 78-68 victory over Emmanuel College on Saturday.<br /> <br /> Coleman added two more field goals and a free throw after breaking the tie and joined Chris Linton in leading the Tigers (4-4) with 13 points each. Anthony Jones added 12 points and Joseph Flegler 10. Linton also had a game-high 10 rebounds.<br /> <br /> Jeremy Tate led Emmanuel (3-2) with 20 points, hitting 6 of 10 from 3-point range. Jerron Stone added 13 points.<br /> <br /> Emmanuel led 37-34 at halftime and led for the last time at 53-51 with 11:42 to play.
