Humphrey missed last Wednesday's game with Grambling State after he was arrested for felony possession of a weapon on campus. The case was resolved, with Humphrey agreeing to a pretrial diversion deal.
Ola Atoyebi led Elon (2-2) with 20 points, and freshman Chris Long came off the bench to score 19 for the Phoenix.
Four more Bulldogs scored in double figures: Sundiata Gaines with 14, Dave Bliss with 12 and Terrance Woodbury and Chris Barnes with 11 apiece.
Georgia (3-0) bolted to a 26-8 lead on Gaines' layup with 12:13 to play in the first half. Humphrey accounted for 12 of Georgia's first 16 points.
The Bulldogs led 37-25 at halftime.
Georgia's biggest lead of the second half was an 18-point spread when Woodbury hit a 3-pointer with 14:09 to play to make it 51-33. But the Phoenix whittled the margin to single digits several times in the last eight minutes.
Elon got as close as seven at 67-60 with 2:30 to play after Montell Watson's 3-pointer. But Woodbury kept Elon at bay, hitting a running jumper to make it 69-60 with 1:29 to play. He then intercepted an Elon pass on the next possession, saved an offensive rebound off a miss by Jeremy Price, made a layup with 32 seconds to play and hit a pair of free throws with 27 seconds to play.
