A new look for pediatrics at NEGMC

GAINESVILLE - The Children's Place is a much happier place thanks to a major sprucing up and lots of new toys in the pediatric unit at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Pediatrics Unit Manager Gail Stowers says the 'Play Roof' is a lot more inviting thanks to the renovation funded by the Jim Syfan Foundation.

"We've made he 'Play roof' bright and cheerful," Stowers said. "We have a new rubber flooring, we've got new picnic tables, and new toys for them to play with."

When the weather is not so nice, the playroom is just inside the door, and it also has lots of new toys and games.

Patient rooms and a parent lounge also have a new look through donations to the Medical Center's Health Journey ll Campaign.
