FLOWERY BRANCH - Atlanta has its Great Tree - which comes alive in a Thanksgiving night tradition that goes back many, many years - and now Flowery Branch is getting in on the act.

Flowery Branch Better Hometown is starting what it hopes will become a Thanksgiving tradition:

The lighting of the Big Christmas Tree in downtown Flowery Branch is also scheduled Thanksgiving night... complete with holiday music.

It all begins at 5:45 with a brass ensemble, following at 6:00 by a prayer service, more music (this time from a choir), and then the lighting of the tree.
