As of 4:00 Tuesday morning, the lake level stood at 1052.60... six-hundredths of a foot below the old record which was set in December 1981.
That's according to the U.S. Geological Survey Web site.
How far and how rapidly has it fallen? W ell, consider that it was 1066.02 at the end of June. That's drop of 13.42 feet in just five months.

LULA FINES
Meeting in regular session Monday night, the Lula City Council voted to fine people caught violating the ban on outdoor watering.
A first offense will get you a $250 fine; a second offense, a fine of $500; and, the third time you are caught, you'll have to pony-up another $500 and your water will be cut off.
