GAINESVILLE - In 1977 people were standing in line for hours to see the first Star Wars movie, gas was 65 cents a gallon, and NASA's first space shuttle had its maiden voyage atop the back of a jetliner. And Dr. Arden Hothem moved to Gainesville and established Northeast Georgia Plastic Surgery Associates, creating the foundation for a medical practice that has set the standard for plastic surgery in North Georgia for 30 years.

"Our goal was, and remains today, to set the standard of care for plastic surgery patients in North Georgia," explains Dr. Hothem. "That is why we launched the Aesthetic Center of Gainesville as a dedicated division of our practice devoted to cosmetic procedures."

The doctors at the Aesthetic Center of Gainesville include Arden L. Hothem, M.D., Sam Richwine, Jr., M.D., K. Glen Walton, M.D., Ed Abell, M.D., and D.J. Campbell, M.D. They specialize in all types of cosmetic surgery (facial plastic surgery, body contouring, and cosmetic breast surgery) as well as clinical skin care programs.
