ATHENS - Tasha Humphrey scored 18 points to help No. 8 Georgia rout Georgia Southern 105-66 Tuesday night.

Humphrey became the No. 8 career scorer for Georgia (3-0), passing Tracy Henderson. Humphrey now has 1,772 points.

Five more Lady Bulldogs scored in double figures, including Christy Marshall, who came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points, hitting eight of nine shots. Ashley Houts scored 16, Lindsey Moss 15, Angel Robinson 12 and Megan Darrah 11.

Shawnda Atwood led Georgia Southern (1-2) with 16 points.

Darrah scored seven of Georgia's first 13 points, going backdoor for a layup, running the floor in transition and spotting up for a 3 as Georgia bolted to a 13-2 lead.

The Lady Eagles made only one field goal in the first nine minutes, as Georgia built a 24-4 lead after reserve Danielle Taylor intercepted a pass and went end-to-end for a layup, all before Humphrey scored her first point.

Humphrey sparked a 12-0 Georgia run late in the half, as the Lady Dogs expanded the margin to 37-11. Humphrey scored 11 of 13 Georgia points during one stretch, and Georgia led 52-21 at the half.

The Lady Eagles hit six 3-pointers in the second half, but never threatened.

Moss hit five of nine 3-pointers in scoring her career high.

The Lady Eagles played without senior Tiffany Brown, an All-Southern Conference performer last year when she averaged 15 points a game. She has been suspended for the first six games of the season.

Georgia's Rebecca Rowsey sat out with a knee injury.
