GAINESVILLE - It has been 18 days since there was any measurable rain in Gainesville, pushing the rainfall deficit for the year to almost 22 inches.

However, cooler weather may bring us some rain this week.

The rainfall deficit for the year is now 21.88 inches. No rain has been recorded at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport in Gainesville since October 24. The rainfall deficit has increased 1.67 inches since October 21.

Rain is in the forecast for Wednesday but nothing significant, according to The Weather Channel's John Askins.
