The accident occurred shortly before 5:00 just north of Limestone Parkway near Riverwood.
The road was close in both directions for about two hours causing a massive traffic jam. One lane was re-opened to two-way traffic about 7:00 and by 8:15 both lanes had been reopened.
Gainesville Police say the wreck occurred when the driver fell asleep and the truck ran off the road and into a ditch.
