Central Michigan wins MAC West

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Quarterback Dan LeFevour scored on a keeper from one-yard out with 12 seconds left to give Central Michigan a 34-31 victory over Western Michigan. <br> <br> The win clinched the Mid-American Conference West title for the 6-and-4 Chippewas. They hadn't won at Western Michigan since 1993.<br> <br> The victory puts Central Michigan in the December 1st MAC championship game for the second straight year. It also clinches a spot in one of three postseason bowl games for which the MAC has an automatic berth.<br>
