Arrest made in fatal video game store robbery

<p>A man who has done prison time on forgery and cocaine sales charges has been charged in a robbery that left a Marietta video game store manager dead of suffocation after his face was duct-taped.</p><p>Patrick Gray Graham, 36, was arrested just before midnight Tuesday after a SWAT team raided a Cobb County apartment where he was staying.</p><p>Graham is charged with murder, three counts of kidnapping, three counts of false imprisonment, three counts of armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Marietta police spokesman Mark Bishop said.</p><p>Bishop said authorities began seeking Graham based on fingerprints found at the crime scene.</p><p>An autopsy showed that GameStop store manager Matthew Cherry, 21, died from suffocation after having his hands tied behind his back and duct tape put over his nose and mouth during the Sunday robbery.</p><p>The suspect spent at least an hour in the store, stealing merchandise such as video games and DVDs.</p><p>Bishop said police recovered items stolen from the store after executing search warrants at the apartment and another where Graham was believed to be staying. He also said Graham was a close match to a sketch drawn of the suspect by a GBI artist.</p><p>According to the Georgia Department of Corrections Web site, Graham was sentenced to five years in prison on a Cobb County forgery charge in 1995. He was sentenced to two years for obstruction of a law enforcement officer the following year and another five years in 1997 for selling cocaine.</p><p>Graham did not resist arrest Tuesday night, Bishop said.</p><p>He said Graham's first court appearance is expected at 8 p.m. Wednesday.</p>
