Conservation groups plan to release water report card

<p>Conservation groups in the state are preparing to release a report today on Georgia's water efficiency during the drought.</p><p>The report is expected to cite growth as a factor in the water shortage. Gov. Perdue dismissed that idea when asked about it last week during a news conference to discuss the drought.</p><p>Sally Bethea of the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper says Paulding County's new moratorium on rezoning is evidence development is part of the problem.</p><p>The report comes as the governors of Georgia, Alabama and Florida prepare to be in Washington to discuss the drought and sharing water. They will try to work out a truce in the battle over how water from the Chattahoochee River is shared among the three states. (WXIA-TV)</p>
