Pickens freshman hurler Kayla Byrom matched Crawford most of the game with 12 strikeouts and just four walks - all intentional to Anna Frazee.
Crawford used the lob pitch effectively getting five strikeouts and allowing just three hits, two coming in the first inning.
Pickens had its chances leaving six runners on base.
The Nettes fell to 13-12, 8-2 in region play with the loss.
