CUMMING - He hasn't been cleared to return to work but a Forsyth County deputy sheriff is out of the hospital after being injured Wednesday in a motorcycle -pickup accident.

Nick Wright, 29, a motorcycle officer who has been with the department for eight years, had been hospitalized at Grady in Atlanta.

But, he's back home now and waiting for a doctor's clearance before returning to work, according to sheriff's spokesman Frank Huggins.

The collision happened at the Sharon Road intersection when the pickup slowed to make a turn, according to Huggins, and Wright struck it in the rear.

Wright was released from the hospital Thursday.
