Works begins Monday on traffic signal at key Jefferson intersection

JEFFERSON - Work is scheduled to begin Monday on installation of a traffic signal at a key Jefferson intersection.

Phase I of the work at the U.S. 129 Bypass and Old Pendergrass Road will require the closing of Old Pendergrass Road from Damon Gause Bypass to Faith Drive for "two to three" weeks.

Detours that will be in place are as follows: Heading south toward Athens, enter Loggins Corner Shopping Center at Faith Drive off the bypass. Heading North toward Gainesville, turn left onto Holders Siding and turn left onto Benton Road, then left onto Old Pendergrass Road to Loggins Corner Shopping Center. Approximate construction time is 2-3 weeks.
