UNDATED - The corps of engineers is now honoring three of the four National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands passes at day use and camping areas around Lake Lanier and other corps lakes.

The change means a 50 percent reduction in fees for certain people.

The Corps is now accepting the Senior Pass for citizens and permanent residents ages 62 and over; Access Pass for those with a permanent medical disability and the Volunteer Pass.

The new passes may be obtained in person at any U.S. Forest Service office (there's one on Limestone Parkway in Gainesville).
