MARSHALL, Minn. - The Schwan Food Company plans to relocate up to 40 jobs from its location in Suwanee to Marshall, Minn.

Bill McCormack, senior executive vice president and spokesman for Schwan, said the positions being relocated are in the Edwards Fine Foods and Mrs. Smith's Pies division.

The jobs would involve research and development, general food service, supply chain and operations.

McCormack said "This will be an additional 30 to 40 jobs in Marshall, which is great news. I would categorize these as good-paying jobs."

He said another 30 or so jobs in retail and consumer brands will be transferred to the Schwan Consumer Brands Division office in Bloomington, Minn.

He said some Georgia employees have been given the chance to relocate, but he could not say how many chose to do so.
