LAKE LANIER ISLANDS - About 200 young people from across the state will be at Lake Lanier Islands next month for the state Youth Tobacco Summit.

The three-day session will begin February 16.

It's purpose is to reduce teen tobacco use by training the participants to advocate for 100% tobacco free schools.

The most recent data show there was a decline in tobacco use among high schoolers between 2001 and 2005, but an increase at the middle school level.
