UNDATED - Gas prices are below two dollars a gallon again in some places in northeast Georgia, including Gainesville.

A recent random sampling of nine outlets in Hall County turned up three selling regular, unleaded for $1.99 a gallon, one of $1.95, another for $2.00 and four selling it for $2.01.

Its the first time since September that prices have been that low.

GeorgiaGasPrices.com says the cheapest in the state as we headed into the weekend was $1.82 in Warner Robins. In fact, of the 15 cheapest prices list on the Web site, 13 are in Warner Robins and the other two in Byron and Bonaire, which are near Warner Robins. AccessNorthGa.com contacted four of those outlets to see if there was an old-fashioned gas war going on. No one wanted to comment or referred us to corporate headquarters where our calls were not returned.

Three places in northeast Georgia were among those where it was most expensive: two in Toccoa ($2.30 and $2.33) and one in Hiawassee ($2.21).
