Braves' Jeff Francoeur is engaged

<p>Atlanta Braves outfielder Jeff Francoeur has popped the question.</p><p>Francoeur asked his high school sweetheart, Catie McCoy, to marry him Sunday night at the Fox Theatre. And he made sure to surprise her with it.</p><p>Francoeur and McCoy arrived early for "Beauty and the Beast" and went to the balcony as part of a staged ticket mixup. There, Francoeur dropped to one knee and proposed as one of McCoy's favorite songs was playing.</p><p>"Who says I can't be romantic?" Francoeur said Wednesday. "I totally surprised her. She had no clue."</p><p>The two have been dating since they attended Parkview High School in Lilburn.</p><p>McCoy graduated from the University of Georgia last spring and now teaches English at Mill Creek High School in Gwinnett County. She is also a cheerleading coach at the school.</p><p>The couple plan to marry after next season.</p>
