BRASELTON - A proposal to build 337 houses next to the Legends at Chateau Elan subdivision has been postponed by the developer who is moving ahead with plans for a 64-home development in Gwinnett and Hall counties.

Norton Native Intelligence Market Watch says the Braselton Planning Commission has tabled action on the plan at the request of the developer. The request may be heard at a later planning commission meeting.

Fountainhead Residential Development LLC wants Braselton to annex and zone 31.52 acres in Gwinnett County on Duncan Creek Road for the project. The applicant is also asking that it's Planned Unit Development master plan for 110.35 acres in Gwinnett Duncan Creek Road. The 337 homes are planned on the two tracts. Construction may start in 12 months, with
build-out within 48 months.

The board also okayed the Hall-Gwinnett subdivision which will be adjacent to Thompson Mill Road and will be an extension of The Village at Chateau Elan.

Also approved and in the same area: a retail/commercial/office development at Thompson Mill Road and Georgia Highway 211.
