HELEN - A year after a tornado tore through Helen, the city is getting a severe weather siren.

David Murphy, White County Emergency Management Agency Director says the county has been able to secure matching grant money that will provide a warning system for almost all of the city.

One siren will be placed at city hall another in the Innsbruck area next to Helen.

Murphy says they hope to have the sirens in place within three months.

The city of Helen will pay 25 percent of the matching money and Innsbruck community will pay for their warning siren.
