Construction on YMCA building underway

GAINESVILLE - A ceremonial groundbreaking is planned later this month to mark the start of construction on the new Hall County YMCA building which began earlier this month.

The 24-acre site is at Georgia 365 and Howard Road.

The cost of the first phase of construction has been put at $6 million.

The Hall YMCA was established ten years and has been housed in various locations - pending a fundraising campaign for it's own complex and construction of the facility.

The groundbreaking ceremony is planned August 31 at 11:30.
