Accused of killing husband, stuffing body in trash can

<p>A Dodge County woman was jailed on a murder charge Thursday after what were believed to be the remains of her missing husband were found stuffed inside a trash can sealed with tape behind their home.</p><p>Russell Ray, 63, was believed to have been shot by 52-year-old Janet Ray and hidden in the back of a pickup truck parked in planted pine trees on a gated estate with a pasture, pond and roaming horses, said Keith Golden, agent-in-charge of the Eastman office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.</p><p>Authorities had been searching for the recently retired manager of a local department store after an associate and family member voiced concerns about his absence from normal routines. The GBI became involved on July 13. Sheriff Lawton Douglas said the body was recovered about 9 p.m. Wednesday.</p><p>Douglas said Janet Ray, a beauty shop owner, had told friends and relatives that her husband was on a fishing trip and living on a house boat.</p><p>___</p><p>HASH(0x1cd9c64)</p>
