Two Gainesville Cingular stores to cater to Hispanics

ATLANTA - ¿Bueno? ¿Aló? ¿Diga? Hello? Cingular Wireless is converting nine stores in Georgia, including two in Gainesville, to cater to Hispanic consumers as part of its growth strategy.<br> <br> The company will roll out additional stores throughout the year. <br> <br> Beginning this week, Cingular Wireless is converting signage and collateral in these stores to both English and Spanish. Bilingual sales people will be prepared to serve customers in both English and Spanish and will be trained to handle the needs of Latino consumers using &#34;culturally-appropriate selling techniques. &#34;<br> <br> The more than 420 stores being converted nationally to the new bilingual concept were selected according to Hispanic population density in the neighboring area. They are located in more than 40 cities primarily in states with high percentages of Hispanic population such as California, Texas, Illinois, New York and Florida, but also in other emerging Hispanic markets such as Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia and Oregon.<br> <br> Cingular is the nation&#39;s largest voice and data wireless provider and the number one provider to the Hispanic community, according to Cliff Minor, vice president and general manager for Cingular&#39;s Georgia operations, who added &#34;that&#39;s a position we intend to keep.&#34;<br> <br> &#34;The Hispanic market is one of the fastest growing in the U.S. and in fact, Georgia has one of the fastest growing Hispanic populations in the country,&#34; he added. &#34;We want to meet the needs of these consumers and this enhanced focus in our stores will enable us to do this.&#34;<br> <br> Below is a list of the stores in Georgia focused on meeting the needs of Hispanic consumers:<br> <br> * Gwinnett: 2131 Pleasant Hill Road, Suite 101<br> * Gainesville: 325 Jesse Jewell Parkway SE <br> 885 Dawsonville Highway, Suite 1110<br> * Dalton: 1526 West Walnut Avenue<br> * Roswell: 690 Holcomb Bridge Road, Suite 110<br> 1035 Mansell Road, Suite 250B<br> * Norcross: 6000 Singleton Road, suite 319 <br> * Cedartown: 115 East Avenue <br> * Calhoun: 201 W.
