GAINESVILLE - The campaign for passage of Tuesday's liquor-by-the-drink questions in Hall County was turned up a notch over the weekend.

Ads began running by a group called "Dine In Hall" and flyers touting passage of the two questions as a way to bring better restaurants to the area began landing in mailboxes.

Meanwhile, the Chattahoochee Baptist Association continued its campaign against passage - citing the role it plays in many child abuse cases and and traffic accidents.

The questions deal with legalizing the sale of liquor-by-the-drink in unincorporated Hall County and the Sunday sale of such drinks.

Legalizing liquor-by-the-drink will also be on the ballot in Jackson County Tuesday.
