ATLANTA - Braves manager Bobby Cox Wednesday said Chipper Jones might pinch hit tonight, but the third baseman and center fielder Andruw Jones are expected to miss their fourth straight start because of injuries.
Chipper Jones has been recovering from a strained left oblique muscle. Andruw Jones, who has a sore back, pinch hit Tuesday night against the Marlins - striking out in the eighth inning.
Both players are hoping to be ready for a series against the New York Mets, which begins Friday night.
Wilson Betemit started again at third base Tuesday night and Ryan Langerhans was in center field.
