RMA expands board of trustees

GAINESVILLE - Two Atlanta businessmen and two alumni have joined the board of trustees at Riverside Military Academy.<br> <br> Alec Fraser, of Atlanta, is president of Turner Properties, a subsidiary of Turner Broadcasting System. Fraser oversees the real estate and property management functions of Turner properties worldwide. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Fraser served in the navy for 24 years as a ship captain on destroyers and cruisers.<br> <br> Fred Kennedy, a 1964 graduate of Riverside, is president of Kennedy Trucking Company in Kearny, NJ. Kennedy is a distinguished military graduate of The Citadel. After retiring from the U.S. Army as an infantry and Special Forces officer, he served as senior army instructor and later president of North Carolina's Oak Ridge Military Academy and as assistant commandant at The Citadel. <br> <br> Chris Lancaster attended Riverside for six years and graduated in 1985. Lancaster, who grew up in Mableton, Ga., became the starting fullback for Clemson University's football team. Lancaster was part of three consecutive ACC championship teams (1986-88). Following a career-ending neck injury, Lancaster began his coaching career as a student assistant coach at Clemson. After graduating from Clemson in 1989, Lancaster continued his professional coaching career with stints at Baylor University, Clemson, Sam Houston State University, McNeese State University, and the University of Kentucky. He returned to Baylor University in 2003 as the offensive line coach and is now the running backs and special teams coach.<br> <br> Bob Rothman, of Atlanta, is president and owner of Robertex, a Calhoun, Ga.-based manufacturer of high-end fine wool carpet and floor coverings. Rothman's son graduated from Riverside this year.<br> <br>
