GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville chapter of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, will now hold its meetings at Grace Episcopal Church.

Gainesville PFLAG spokesperson Bill Pacer says the group needed a bigger space, in order to help the gay community better. "Gays exist in our society whether people like it or not- they are real-and it's an orientation that they have and they need acceptance."

Pacer says the group will now be able to have more activities during its meetings to help its growing membership. He offered no numbers on how much it has grown and over what period of time.

Meetings are held the second Sunday of the month, with the next meeting June 11. Meetings start at 4:00 and are held in a room behind the church.
