"During the camp the campers visited Lake Lanier Islands and Skate Country," according to Maj. Jeff Strickland. "In addition, the campers participated in various activities including games, swimming, exploring..."
But, Maj. Strickland adds, it was not all fun-and-games.
"(They received) instructional lessons on violence, gangs, drug awareness, and internet safety.
The camp was held at the Free Chapel Worship Center North Campus and was free of charge for all participants. The camp is completely funded by private donations.
