Two dead after apparent murder-suicide at Cobb warehouse

<p>Two Cobb County men are dead after an apparent murder-suicide at a Marietta carpet warehouse.</p><p>According to Cobb County Police, the 63-year-old James Hicks of Kennesaw, was shot and killed at Fleming Carpet distribution center shortly after 6:30 a.m. today. According to police, the 45-year-old suspect Steve Smith of Marietta, then turned the gun on himself.</p><p>Smith was transported by ambulance to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he died of his injuries.</p><p>Cobb County police captain Dana Pierce says Hicks was a manager at the warehouse and Hicks is believed to have done some sort of work for the company.</p><p>Pierce says police are still investigating a motive in the shooting.</p><p>The warehouse is located (at 1200 Kennestone Circle near Cobb Parkway) north of Georgia five.</p>
