Hanging death at Bibb County jail ruled a suicide

<p>The death of an inmate at the Bibb County jail has been ruled a suicide, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.</p><p>Roosevelt Randy Hemphill, 28, of Athens was found hanging in his cell Saturday.</p><p>Hemphill was last seen alive shortly after 11 a.m. that day when he was given his lunch, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office. Deputies found him hanging from a bed sheet about an hour later.</p><p>Hemphill was facing federal charges and was being held at the jail for the U.S. Marshals Service since May 11, authorities said.</p><p>___</p><p>HASH(0x1cd9954)</p>
