Vanderbilt 11, Georgia 3

<p>Dominic de la Osa had seven RBIs, including an eighth inning grand slam, to help Vanderbilt to an 11-3 win over Georgia on Sunday.</p><p>Matt Meingasner's two-run double in the fifth helped rally Vanderbilt (25-12, 10-5 Southeastern Conference) from a 2-1 deficit.</p><p>Georgia (22-13, 6-9) had a chance to regain the lead in the sixth with the score 4-2 and the bases loaded, but Vanderbilt reliever Casey Weathers struck out the next two batters to end the inning.</p><p>Joey Side's first inning home run gave the Bulldogs an early lead. Josh Morris and Jonathan Wyatt contributed RBI singles for Georgia in the third and seventh innings.</p><p>Brian Hernandez also earned an RBI for the Commodores.</p><p>Vanderbilt starter Matt Buechmann (4-3) was credited with the win after striking out eight, walking three and allowing two runs on eight hits in 6.1 innings of work.</p><p>Georgia starter Trevor Holder (2-2) was charged the loss. He gave up five runs on six hits with one walk and two strikeouts in six innings.</p>
