TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Tyrone Prothro was back on the field Saturday, getting another ovation from Alabama fans.
The injured wide receiver was hobbling to the 50-yard line on crutches at halftime instead of making big catches, though.
Prothro drew the biggest cheers of the Crimson Tide's spring game when he walked to midfield. He was presented with a $100,000 check for the university for his acrobatic catch against Southern Mississippi that won the game-changing performance award from Pontiac.
``Just being on the field, hearing people hollering my name, it gave me that much more motivation to get back out there,'' Prothro said. ``It's been great for people to still remember me while I'm hurt.''
He is still recovering from a broken left leg sustained during the Florida game on Oct. 1 that has required two surgeries, the latest in February.
Prothro, who was wearing a protective boot on his leg, said he didn't know when he would be able to return to the practice field.

``There's no set date,'' he said. ``Right now, it's just however long the process takes. It's going real well. I've progressed real well.''

Prothro was leaping for a possible touchdown catch near the end of a sensational game against Florida, when he caught five passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns, including an 87-yard score in the first quarter.
