Clemson-Temple football game moved to Charlotte, N.C.

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) Clemson fans won't have to travel too far to watch the Tigers play Temple next season.<br>

The schools announced Tuesday their game next fall originally a Temple home game for Saturday, Oct. 14 will be played in Charlotte, N.C., at Bank of America Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 12.<br>

Tigers football coach Tommy Bowden said he talked with first-year Temple coach Al Golden and ``both of us are in favor of the move.''<br>
<br>
The game's kickoff time will be determined later.<br>
<br>
``From our standpoint, it gives our fans, especially those in the Charlotte area, a chance to see us in an outstanding NFL facility,'' Bowden said.<br>
<br>
The move gives Clemson two Thursday night contests on its 12-game schedule. Two weeks after the Temple game, Clemson plays Virginia Tech on Oct. 26. That contest will be shown on ESPN.<br>

Clemson beat Temple 37-7 at Death Valley this past season.<br>
