UNDATED - The 600-mile, six-leg Tour de Georgia begins Tuesday in Augusta and, once again, the difficult northeast Georgia mountains legs will come late in the game.

No Lance Armstrong this year. He retired after last summer's Tour de France. But, scores of the world's other top bicycle racers will be rolling along Georgia blacktops this year.

In our area, the route will take them from Dalton to Dahlonega on Friday, Blairsville to Brasstown Bald Saturday and Cumming to Alpharetta on Sunday.
