NEW YORK - N-F-L players union head Gene Upshaw confirms that the union is investigating the role of agent David Caravantes in rent payments made for the family of Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush.<br>

And the N-F-L has alerted some teams about a potential extortion of Bush's family after the Southern Cal running back didn't sign with a marketing company tied to Caravantes. The list includes the Houston Texans, who have the first pick in tomorrow's draft and have said they'll choose Bush or North Carolina State defensive end Mario Williams.<br>

Caravantes tells The Associated Press that he hasn't heard anything about the N-F-L-P-A investigation. He also says: ``I have had no involvement with Reggie Bush. The truth will come out.''<br>
