MAYSVILLE - Plans are in the works for a 1,400-acre mixed-use development in the Maysville area bordering parts of Hall, Banks and Jackson counties.

According to Norton Native Intelligence Market Watch, a golf course, spa, equestrian center and other amenities is planned on the property.

Neal Hughes of Clear Creek Communities in Atlanta made a presentation to the Maysville City Council concerning his future plans for the Diamond C Ranch property owned by Joe Craven. During the 45-minute presentation, Hughes outlined a massive project which would eventually include a golf course, golf club, hotels, health club tennis courts, equestrian center and spa. In addition, numerous estate homes, family homes, villas and
golf cottages are planned for the 1,400 acre property which actually borders parts of Banks, Jackson and Hall Counties.

Hughes said prices for houses built on the property will be in the $300,000-$800,000 range, with some at even higher prices. The plan is also to keep the main entrance to the property the same and to preserve the barn and horse facility, which will become part of the property's equestrian center.
