GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Fire Department Wednesday begins inspections of all fire hydrants in the county.

The department says a three-foot clearance should be maintained around all hydrants.

Some common obstructions firefighters encounter when trying to access hydrants are posts, fences, cars and trucks, vegetation, trash, and other materials or objects.

Officials say the inspections, which will continue through the end of June, should not involve any water loss or disruptions in any neighborhoods where the hydrants are located.
