AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) Floarin Campbell scored 21 points and made all eight of his shots from the field to lead George Mason to a 75-to-65 upset of Michigan State in the first round of the N-C-A-A tournament. It's the first N-C-A-A tournament win for the school in Fairfax, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D-C.<br>

Will Thomas added 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winners who made it tough on themselves by making just 10 of 21 free throws in the final three-and-a-half minutes.<br>

The Patriots sprang the upset by hitting 59 percent from the field to knock off the sixth-seeded Spartans.<br>
<br>
Trailing for most of the game, Michigan State grabbed a one-point lead with six-41 left. But George Mason scored the next ten points to take back control and hang on for the win.<br>
<br>
Michigan State was led by Maurice Ager who finished with 27 points. The Spartans close the season with a 22-and-12 record.<br>
