GAINESVILLE - A Gainesville businessman was ordered to close a new recreation center on Atlanta Highway because of his criminal record.
The Hall County Commission has rejected an appeal from Carlos Rivera for a county business license.
Rivera also has a pending charge of carrying a concealed weapon, but his attorney, Al Allgood, argued, "He's not convicted of that and should not be denied his business license because of that."
Rivera plans to appeal.
