Gainesville Radio Shack not on list to be closed

DALLAS, TEX. - The Gainesville Radio Shack has apparently escaped the ax as the company names the Georgia stores it will be closing. <br> <br> Nineteen of the 480 stores nationwide that will be closed are in Georgia; most are in metro Atlanta. The Suwanee and Athens stores are among them - and are the only ones in northeast Georgia on the list. The company plans to shutter them over the next 18 months.<br> <br> Plans to close the stores were revealed last month but company officials delayed naming which stores would shut down until this week.<br>
