A member of the rap trio Trillville has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 16-year-old girl at a Lithonia party, police said.

Donnell Prince, who goes by the name of "Don P," was arrested last week and charged with rape and two counts of aggravated sodomy, said DeKalb County police. A bond hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday.

Police are looking for a second man believed to be involved with the Dec. 16 incident. Up to 10 people were at the suburban Atlanta apartment complex when Prince and the second man took the girl into a bedroom, said DeKalb police Officer Cory Hughes.

The girl and her friend then left the apartment and called police, Hughes said.

Group publicist Teresa Sanders declined to comment on the arrest.

Prince's attorney, Keith Adams, disputed virtually every detail of the police account. He said the girl was not a minor and the sex was consensual. He said there was more than one other person in the room at the time.

Adams said there were several people in the apartment that night and none of them will corroborate what police said happened.

Trillville's members began making music in high school but did not become popular until they signed on with Lil Jon, who popularized the high-energy, club-oriented hip-hop phenomenon known as "crunk."

The group has had two big hits in the last two years, "Neva Eva" and "Some Cut," which reached as high as No. 3 on Billboard magazine's hot rap tracks charts. The group is planning to release its second CD in the summer.

___

HASH(0x1cd9da4)
