Georgia man dies in skiing accident

<p>A 25-year-old Georgia man has died as a result of injuries received in a skiing accident at Winterplace Ski Resort in Ghent.</p><p>The man was skiing on an intermediate slope Sunday afternoon when he apparently lost control, went off the trail and crashed into a tree, resort president Terry Pfeiffer told the Beckley Register-Herald in Tuesday's edition.</p><p>Pfeiffer said the man was taken to Raleigh General Hospital, where he later died. The man's name has not been released.</p>
